Representing Ward 3 is Councilman Christopher Phillips which includes the middle of the town including part of Myers Corners hamlet part of the Village of Wappingers Falls east of Route 9, Angel Brook, Fieldstone Farms, Hamlet Court, Kendell Farms, Lake Oniad, Oakwood Knolls, Quiet Acres, Regency at Wappinger, Rockingham Farms, Shamrock Hills, Spook Hill, Wildwood Forest, and Ye Olde Apple Orchard neighborhoods. Councilman Phillips was appointed to the Town Board in 2019 after serving on the Town Planning Board. Councilman Phillips has been a strong advocate for our Wappinger Challenger program at Inspiration Field.

The Town of Wappinger is governed by a Town Board consisting of the Supervisor and four Council members. The Supervisor is the presiding officer. The Board adopts resolutions, ordinances and local laws, and approves the annual budget and tax levy. The Council Members are elected to represent their ward for a two-year term.

The Town Board meets bi-weekly on the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 7:00 PM at Wappinger Town Hall.
