General Information:
The seat of the Town of Wappinger government since 1985 has been located at the Wappinger Town Hall in the Middlebush hamlet. The offices of the Town Supervisor, Town Clerk, Town Board, Justice Court, Assessor, Code Enforcement, Comptroller, Town Historian, Human Resources, Receiver of Taxes, Water & Sewer, and Parks & Recreation are located within the facility. The Town Hall also boasts a large Main Meeting Room, where the Town Board, Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Board of Assessment Review convene; the Justice Courtroom, and the town’s Senior Center. Wappinger Town Hall is open for normal business hours Monday – Friday 8:30am-4:00pm. The Town of Wappinger Emergency Services Building is also located on the Town Hall campus and is home to the New York State Police Troop K Wappinger Barracks, the Town’s Ambulance Service, and Town Hall annex offices. The grounds of the Town Hall have been improved upon by the newly refurbished Memorial Plaza, a gazebo, bocce and shuffleboard courts.
