We are planning a book sale here at Town Hall on Saturday, November 14, 9am-3pm, the proceeds of which will go to the Wappingers Veterans Advisory Committee. This group is dedicated to making sure our local veterans get the assistance they need. As a fundraiser, they also plan to sell bricks to be installed at the Soldiers’ Monument at Schlathaus Park and banners that will be installed along the Route 9 corridor through Wappinger. Both will be on display at the book fair and our Deputy Town Supervisor, Kevin Hathorn, will be there to answer questions about the organization and fundraiser.

We are putting out the call for donations of new and gently-used books: fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, gardening, history, etc., and CHILDRENS. We will also accept your DVDs and audio books. We are NOT taking magazines, law books, encyclopedias or textbooks.
