Wappinger Community Day Returns with “Carnifall” at Brexel-Schlathaus Park from October 8-11

Wappinger Community Day 2021 – “Carnifall”

Supervisor Richard L. Thurston, the Wappinger Town Board, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are proud to announce the return of Wappinger Community Day! 2021 will mark the 45th event with this year’s theme being “Carnifall”, a celebration of the fall season and all things Wappinger!

Brexel-Schlathaus Park in the Myers Corners hamlet is once again the venue for this four day event Columbus Day weekend (October 8, 9, 10, 11). The Town has partnered with a new amusement company to offer carnival rides throughout all four days of the event. Friday night, fire performers from CoSM will be hosting a large bonfire at Schlathaus of residents to enjoy. On Saturday at 2:00pm we will kick off the day with the annual Community Day Parade marching down Myers Corners Road toward the park. Community Day will be filled with live music, food trucks, vendors, and plenty of games and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Sunday night, the Town will invite everyone at dusk to view our amazing fireworks display lighting up the sky!

Throughout the weekend, the Town encourages residents to stop by Meadowbrook Farms for apple picking, and trying their famous apple cider and donuts!

Be sure to come out to Brexel-Schlathaus Park for this huge four day event on October 8, 9, 10, and 11!
