Four Vaccination Clinics To Be Held In The Senior Center At Wappinger Town Hall
The Medicine Shoppe in Fishkill will be holding four vaccination clinics here in the Senior Center at Wappinger Town Hall on the following dates and times:
Monday – Sept. 19, 2022 – 2:00pm-3:30pm
Monday – Oct. 3, 2022 – 2:00pm-3:30pm
Monday – Oct. 17, 2022 – 6:00pm-8:00pm*
* Monday, October 17th is a time change in order to provide appointments to those who work/attend school during the day. The staff at Fishkill Medicine Shoppe have agreed to accommodate those individuals!
Final Clinic – Monday – Oct. 31, 2022 – 2:00pm-3:30pm
Vaccines offered will be:
Flu
Regular and high dose (for age 65+)
Pneumonia
For anyone age 65 and over, OR anyone under 65 with diabetes, asthma or any heart condition (including high blood pressure).
Shingles
Available for anyone age 50 and over. This is a 2-dose series, 2nd dose is given 2-6 months after the 1st dose.
Covid
Every adult and pediatric Covid vaccine will be available (Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson). By mid-September, they should also have received the new Omicron-specific Covid booster from Pfizer and Moderna that will be available for all adults.
At-home Covid test kits will also be available.
Fishkill Medicine Shoppe states that most insurances cover these at no cost to the patient.
Anyone interested can sign up for an appointment on their website: fishkill.medicineshoppe.com but they take walk-ins as well. Folks will have to check with their health insurer to see if any of these vaccines are covered. Patients will need to fill out a consent form (available on their website or they will have them here).
Folks need to bring a form of ID, insurance info and Covid vaccine cards if getting a Covid booster.
