Wappinger Town Hall Holiday Open House & Winter Craft Fair This Friday from 2:00-6:00

Wappinger Town Hall Holiday Open House & Winter Craft Fair This Friday

Brand New Winter Event for Wappinger Families to Enjoy this Holiday Season

Wappinger, NY – Supervisor Richard L. Thurston, the Wappinger Town Board, and the Department of Parks & Recreation welcome families and neighbors to Wappinger Town Hall this Friday, December 10th from 2:00pm – 6:00pm for pictures with Santa, our Winter Craft Fair, Children’s activities, sweets, drinks, and treats, and much more!

Wappinger Town Hall has once again been transformed into a winter wonderland and our special guest Santa Claus is helping us get into the holiday spirit! The officials and staff of the Town of Wappinger have worked tirelessly to showcase our 10 beautifully decorated Christmas trees, 4 menorahs, thousands of lights, and an overall sense of holiday cheer!

Our youngest attendees will be able to deliver their letters to Santa Claus, participate in craft activities, and even get a chance to get a picture with jolly old St. Nick!

Once again the Town of Wappinger is proud to partner with Angels of Light of the Hudson Valley to adopt three local children (one family) this holiday season. Angels of Light collects gifts for children and assists children and families with a life threatening illness living in the Hudson Valley or whose life has been suddenly altered by an accident or loss of life. Please consider taking a tag off of our Angels of Light tree in Town Hall and fulfilling one of the gift donations for a child that could use some joy this season.

As a part of our growing craft fair series throughout the year, the Town will also be hosting a Winter Craft Fair, on Friday, December 10 (same date and time as Open House), with local artisans selling handcrafted holiday gifts just in time for this shopping season! Our vendors include:

1) 1809 Accessories – hand-made jewelry
2) Bea’s Crochet – hand-crocheted hats, scarves, etc.
3) Bownd – pet wearables
4) Cute as a Button by Shari – button art and ornaments
5) Fair Square – framed cross stitch
6) Mary Garbaini – infant and toddler knits
7) Hudson Valley Woodworking – hand-turned wood products
8) Kenneth Jones – lighted glass blocks
9) Kriss Thomas – goat milk soaps and beeswax candles
10) Judith Subrize – handmade home decor
11) Ta Martin Crafts – handmade baskets, arrangements, home decor
12) Three Chicks Candles – hand-poured soy candles and soy melts
13) Vanessa’s Creations – reusable paper towels and snack bags, stuffed animals

Please note that Wappinger Town Hall will be closing early for Town business at 1:00pm on Thursday, December 16.

On behalf of the officials and staff of the Wappinger Town Government we wish you and your family a very happy holiday season and hope to see you this Friday, December 10 at Wappinger Town Hall for our Holiday Open House and Winter Craft Fair!
