Flags to be flown at half-staff at the Memorial Plaza of Wappinger Town Hall in memory of U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick

Today, Supervisor Richard L. Thurston, in full cooperation of the Wappinger Town Board, directed flags to be flown at half-staff at the Memorial Plaza of Wappinger Town Hall in memory of U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick. Officer Sicknick was killed in the line of duty during the riots inside of the United States Capitol last week.
These actions come following National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, in which we recognize our law enforcement officers locally and across the United States of America who work tirelessly to protect and serve the residents of their communities.
