Robinson Lane Baseball Complex is the center of baseball in the Town of Wappinger. There are 10 baseball fields making up “The William T. Farrell ‘Big Guy’ Memorial Fields” at Robinson Lane Baseball Complex. Adult and youth leagues practice and compete at the baseball complex. Robinson Lane is home to “Inspiration Field” a modified surfaced field that allows those with special needs who need wheelchairs or other assistive devices to enjoy playing baseball. The complex is home to Town of Wappinger Little League Inc., which enters into an annual contract with the Town to host youth baseball and softball programs within the park. The pristine fields are complimented by lighting towers that illuminate the field for night games. Teams from all around the region from every age and ability come to Robinson Lane to play “America’s Pastime”.
Within the complex, in addition to the ball-fields, there is a large playground, a concession stand, batting cages (operated by T.O.W.L.L.) and trails that wind along the scenic Sprout Creek. More than half of the Robinson Lane Baseball Complex is made up of protected parkland along the Sprout Creek watershed. This portion of the property is great for launching kayaks, fishing, and enjoying nature.
