Supervisor Richard L. Thurston Recognizes Small Businesses During #WappingerProud Tour

Wappinger Town Supervisor Richard L. Thurston toured Wappinger area businesses along with Dutchess County Legislator Joseph D. Cavaccini throughout the month of August. Supervisor Thurston presented Farm Stores of the Hudson Valley in Imperial Plaza, Wayne’s Way Wholesale Cabinets, on Route 9D in Hughsonville, and Obercreek Brewing Company on Marlorville Road in Hughsonville with the Town’s #WappingerProud Small Business of the Month awards as a part of his administration’s initiative for promoting and increasing local businesses within the Town of Wappinger. This initiative includes increasing our staff in our Code Enforcement Office to expedite               permits and projects, building communications between those who have chosen to invest in our town, holding ribbon cuttings, and nominating local businesses for “Small Business of the Month”.

Farm Stores provides a unique neighborhood experience. A combination of grocery store, bakery and restaurant, we give you the freshest products in the most convenient manner: the equivalent of a drive-thru supermarket express lane. We offer all your favorite grocery brands in addition to products you won’t find anywhere else, and we bring it all directly to your car! In fact, Farm Stores has been a convenient last stop on the way home for families for nearly 60 years.

Wanye’s Way Wholesale Cabinets is a craftsman style, family owned business where our trusted relationships  allows you to receive the best kitchen cabinet options and prices for your home or business, delivered to your door. Whether you are in New York or California, we are THE choice for kitchen cabinets of any caliber at the best price.  Need design help? Wayne’s Way, is THE Way! Leave it to Wayne and your imagination will come to reality.

Obercreek Brewing Company presents a unique experience for beer lovers in the Hudson Valley. Part of the Obercreek Community and nestled within the certified organic Obercreek Farm, our brewery began brewing and putting beer on the market in late 2017. Although our beer can occasionally be found on tap at a few accounts within the area, the majority of our beer is packaged in growlers for off premises consumption.

Episodes of “Talk of the Town” highlighting these exciting Town businesses can be found on the Town’s YouTube channel and on WappingerTV (channels 22 and or 35)
