Dutchess County Government Awards Town of Wappinger $75,000 to Enhance and Improve Wappinger Town Senior Center

Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini and the Wappinger Town Board are proud to announce that Dutchess County Government has awarded $75,000 to enhance and improve our Wappinger Town Senior Center through the 2025 Dutchess County Municipal Investment Grant (MIG) Program.

The Town is proud to have grown its Senior Center membership from 132 on January 1, 2024 to 276 members today.

Town Supervisor Cavaccini went on to say, “This funding will allow the Town to continue with our Senior Center renovations that we launched earlier year. We plan to relocate and expand the existing kitchen; purchase new appliances; relocate a bathroom; and install new flooring there. Our growing senior population deserves these long overdue enhancements and we thank County Executive Sue Serino as well as Legislators Paoloni, Faust, and Versaci for supporting our project.”
