Before and After!

Following years of deterioration, our Buildings and Grounds Department employees were able to replace the crumbling ceilings in the 1927 Administration Building at Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park.

Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini stated that, “Park improvements are one of our top priorities — Offering community meeting and gathering spaces are crucial to enhancing our parks and recreation facilities. These improvements made at Carnwath will allow us to offer previously unused spaces to those in our community who can bring vibrancy to our Town.”

Additional improvements included energy efficient lighting, painting, new drywall, and closing in gaping holes in the plaster. Town Supervisor Cavaccini went on to say, “We will continue to utilize our skilled Town staff to complete projects in house, saving taxpayer dollars, and getting things accomplished.” This comes following a restructuring of various Town departments, including Buildings and Grounds, to increase productivity and efficiency.
