Wappinger Town Hall and the Wappinger Town Senior Center will fully reopen to the public without appointments on Monday, May 3, 2021.
The Town of Wappinger Government is proud to have been one of the only municipalities that has continuously been open to the public since the beginning of the pandemic in Dutchess County. In January 2021, following the first public COVID-19 exposure in over 7 months and thousands of safe transactions, Wappinger Town Hall temporarily closed to the public and residents were encouraged to make appointments with Town offices and utilize Online Bill Payment options.
Effective Monday, May 3, 2021, no appointments are necessary to enter Town Hall or meet with Town departments within Wappinger Town Hall, but residents are still encouraged to use online payment options on the Town website as well as the secure document drop boxes outside of Town Hall.
All public meetings of the Wappinger Town Board, Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Board of Assessment Review will be in person as well as continue to be live streamed via the Town website and WappingerTV (channels 22 and 35). These meetings will continue to be subject to COVID-19 protocols in effect at the time of each meeting, including capacity limitations.
The Wappinger Town Senior Center will reopen to all senior citizen residents of the Town of Wappinger (as well as Wappinger Town side of the Village of Wappingers Falls) at 50% capacity. The Department of Parks & Recreation has planned several exciting programs for our seniors and can’t wait to see them back at the Center. For more information on activities and events please visit www.wappingerrecreation.com
Residents are strongly encouraged to utilize Wappinger Town Online Bill Pay to pay their taxes, water & sewer bills, purchase Recycle Center permits, and dog licenses. We will accept cash in person but subject to appointment scheduling.
Document Drop Off:
Wappinger Town Hall also has secured document drop boxes outside the entrances of the building for residents and businesses to drop off their bills and forms. Please be sure to address envelopes to the appropriate departments.
The agendas to each of the following boards will continue to be posted here.
