Wappinger Town Hall and Senior Center to fully reopen to the public without appointments on Monday, May 3

Wappinger Town Hall and the Wappinger Town Senior Center will fully reopen to the public without appointments on Monday, May 3, 2021.

The Town of Wappinger Government is proud to have been one of the only municipalities that has continuously been open to the public since the beginning of the pandemic in Dutchess County. In January 2021, following the first public COVID-19 exposure in over 7 months and thousands of safe transactions, Wappinger Town Hall temporarily closed to the public and residents were encouraged to make appointments with Town offices and utilize Online Bill Payment options.

Effective Monday, May 3, 2021, no appointments are necessary to enter Town Hall or meet with Town departments within Wappinger Town Hall, but residents are still encouraged to use online payment options on the Town website as well as the secure document drop boxes outside of Town Hall.

All public meetings of the Wappinger Town Board, Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Board of Assessment Review will be in person as well as continue to be live streamed via the Town website and WappingerTV (channels 22 and 35). These meetings will continue to be subject to COVID-19 protocols in effect at the time of each meeting, including capacity limitations.

The Wappinger Town Senior Center will reopen to all senior citizen residents of the Town of Wappinger (as well as Wappinger Town side of the Village of Wappingers Falls) at 50% capacity. The Department of Parks & Recreation has planned several exciting programs for our seniors and can’t wait to see them back at the Center.
