HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT – EXTREME HEAT WARNING TO BE IN EFFECT
Based on the latest information obtained through communication with the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Dutchess County, effective through noon tomorrow, when an Excessive Heat Warning will be in effect from noon until 8pm, as a Heat Wave impacts Dutchess County today through Sunday.

FRIDAY: Temperatures this afternoon will peak at 93 degrees, with a Heat Index of 103 degrees. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight between 7pm and 10pm.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high temp of 98 degrees, with a Heat Index of 111 degrees. Tomorrow night will be partly cloudy with a low of 79 degrees.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high temp of 97 degrees. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible during the morning and evening.

Dutchess County Emergency Management is actively monitoring the weather this weekend. Municipalities opening cooling centers have been asked to advise our office.
