Wappinger Historical Display Case Located at Town Hall, Showcasing Native American Heritage Month

A very special night we enjoyed before and during the April 24th Town of Wappinger Board meeting with our guests from the Wappingers Historical Society.

In close partnership with the WHS, the WHA has donated and curated a special display case. This case will have regular, rotating displays on our special heritage, culture and history.

In honor of Native American Heritage Month (November), Wappingers Historical Society will display local Native American stone tools. These tools date from 6000 years ago to contact with Europeans. The display will give visitors to Town Hall some insight into the lifeways in the area before Europeans.

The display case is located inside the lobby of the Town of Wappinger Town Hall at 20 Middlebush Road.
