Although one of the largest Towns in the Hudson Valley, Wappinger is proud to maintain our small town characteristics. Our small businesses and community organizations truly are the backbone of our community. From the small trendy boutique to a Culinary graduate’s fine dining establishment, the Town of Wappinger is the proud home to a diverse mix of community oriented businesses.

Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini is a co-founder of the #WappingerProud initiative for supporting and increasing local businesses, celebrating local teams and organizations,  within the Town of Wappinger. The objective of this initiative is to foster a positive connection with those who wish to improve our community through innovative development, such as filling empty storefronts, offering beneficial services, enhancing our quality of life, and attractive businesses to our Town.

In doing so, the Town will offer permits and inspections in a timely manner, build a relationship between those who have chosen to improve our town, hold ribbon cuttings, encourage you to participate in First Saturday Wappinger, and nominate local businesses for “Small Business of the Month”.
